Lee is the Deputy Head of the University of Auckland’s School of Architecture and Planning and a Director of the University of Auckland’s Urban Design Programme. This is New Zealand’s only University level Urban Design programme. I teach urban design theory and practice, master planning, and have a range of PhD students exploring the role and action of practice. My research areas include urban design and urban planning policy development, implementation and evaluation issues. I am currently involved in a number of research projects considering the role that master-planning, transit orientated developments, and urban design panels play in ensuring urban design quality and built form outcomes in practice.
